The Start of a New Year

Kill Team is great. I cannot get enough, even when it hurts.

I know there’s many in the community who can relate - having been sucked into the lifestyle, any time my mind wanders, it heads to Kill Team. When I can’t play it, I want to discuss it, I want to consume it, I want to know more. More of what’s happening, more of what people are discovering, more about the surprising results and the growing pockets and the up-and-comers.

But there’s never enough.

After all… Why not? Why shouldn’t I create my own blog?

Australia has very recently exploded on the international KT scene by winning the Kill Team World Championship. Prior to this event, we of course look at places like Spain and the US as being at the peak of competitive KT, supported by raw numbers and world rankings. But for someone from Sydney’s northern suburbs to rock up and beat the absolute best, using unheard-of strategies, it begs the question - do we actually have the strongest scene? How do we see things that these much larger communities don’t?

How do we continue, and build on, this momentum?

One thing I’ve realised is that there is much more happening in the Australian scene than we’re typically aware of. In the same way that the population is concentrated in just a handful of distantly separated major cities, so is our community quite segregated, with the odd exception. While physical distance is a not-insignificant factor, perhaps we can bridge some of the gap through exposure.

Plus, everyone knows stats are cool.

So here is my attempt to cover what could be the strongest Kill Team scene in the world.
